Approving accounts and contacts is one of the most important actions you can take in Stairoids. Every time you approve a company or a person, you teach the system what good looks like — and help it focus on the companies and decision-makers that matter most to you.

This article explains what happens when you approve, why it matters, and how to do it efficiently.


✅ What Does “Approve” Mean?

When you approve an account or contact in Stairoids, you’re saying:

“This fits our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). Keep it in focus, and prioritize its signals.”


🧠 Why Approval Trains the System

Stairoids is a self-learning system. Every approval helps:

  • Identify your preferred industries, company sizes, and personas

  • Improve Intentional Wire Scoring across future accounts

  • Filter out noise by surfacing only similar and relevant leads

  • Build your Approved Feed, Suggested Tasks, and outreach lists

💡 Approving both accounts and contacts helps refine learning on two levels — company and individual.


👤 Approving a Contact

When you approve a contact:

  • That person becomes part of your active buying unit

  • Their engagement is tracked and scored in your task feed

  • You can reach out via one-click LinkedIn, email, or WhatsApp

  • You can heart ❤️ the contact to further define your ideal personas

The more contacts you approve and heart, the better Stairoids predicts who matters — even for new companies you’ve never seen before.

🧠 Example: After 100+ hearted contacts, the system can auto-identify your typical Decision Making Unit (DMU).


🏢 Approving a Company

When you approve a company:

  • It moves from Unassigned to Approved

  • Its signals are scored and displayed in your feed

  • The system will suggest new contacts from that company

  • You’ll get tasks and alerts when intent increases

You can also assign custom labels to approved accounts (e.g., “ABM Tier 1” or “Channel Partner”).


⚡ How to Approve an Account or Contact

  1. Go to the Unassigned or Suggested feed

  2. Click on a company or contact card

  3. Review the activity and role

  4. Click Approve

  5. (Optional) Assign the account to yourself or a team member

  6. Done! The system will adapt and update suggestions instantly


🔁 Bulk Approve Using Filters

Speed things up by using filters such as:

  • “Companies with IWS > 100 in the past 7 days”

  • “Contacts who viewed your profile and liked a post”
    Then bulk approve them from the list.
